The Beloved Physician Luke. This writer of the most poetic Gospel was also the only gentile writer of the Gospel. Many Parables and accounts of Jesus' life only appear in the Gospel of Luke including the Prodigal son and Lazarus and the rich man. Not only did Jesus preach about God's love and mercy but he warned against the sinfulness of trusting in worldly wealth instead of His love.
